Akko MOD007 V3 VIA Hot-Swappable Barebone Keyboard White

The Akko MOD007 V3 VIA Barebone Keyboard allows you to assemble the keyboard and add your choice of keyboard switches and caps. It features an aluminium oxidised CNC case and features a PC plate, per-key flex-cut PCB, south-facing PCBa, 5-Pin fully hot-swappable, gasket mount, a knob, PORON foam and case foam, double-shot TPU stabiliser, and supports VIA for cross-platform (Linux/Mac/Windows) advanced keyboard configuration.

Note: This keyboard is a barebone keyboard and requires basic assembly. Switches and keycaps sold separately.

MOD 007 V3 VIA

MOD 007 V3 VIA is the 3rd generation of the MOD007 series.

Note: Be careful not to reverse the ultra-thin JST connector on the PCB during installation, as this may damage the board.

Gasket Mount

A gasket mount keyboard is a type of mechanical keyboard that uses a gasket material, such as silicone or neoprene, to create a “floating” mount for the switches. The gasket is placed between the plate and the PCB, which allows for a more flexible and cushioned typing experience.

This design allows for more flex and cushioning, which can result in a softer typing experience.

Double Shot Plate Mount Stabiliser

The stabiliser comes with POM housing and POM+TPU stem to minimise rattle and pings. They are Akko proprietary and meant to provide better out of box experiences.

The keyboard also supports screw-in stabilisers.

VIA

VIA enables you to easily create macros and remap your keyboard layout to quickly access any function in any program. You can modify keys and customise your keyboard to suit your needs using the VIA software.

Please note: The JST connector with the label “this side up” should be oriented outward against the PCB, as shown in the picture.
