For Intel graphics, achieve 8K@60 Hz video with 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake or 12th generation Intel Alder Lake or newer CPU, and Intel Iris Xe or newer graphics. Macbooks, Macbook Pro, and Mac Mini with M1 CPU can only support a maximum resolution of 4K@60 Hz for external displays. Some 8K TVs/Monitors may need a firmware update for 4K@120 Hz and 8K support. Manual enabling is required for 4K@120 Hz and 8K support on certain 8K TVs / Monitors. |
