Ideal for Overcoming Thick Walls

The ZenWiFi AX Hybrid combines WiFi and powerline technologies, providing the ideal solution for homes with thick or metal-reinforced walls that cause WiFi backhaul problems. Backhaul data for the mesh network can be sent via powerline over your home's electrical wiring, so home devices can connect at full AX1800 WiFi 6 speeds. The HomePlug AV2 MIMO standard is almost 2X faster (Based on ASUS lab tests. For best results, please connect the unit directly to a wall socket. The use of extension leads may affect performance.) than the previous standard.

HomePlug AV2 MIMO Ensures High Bandwidth

ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid uses HomePlug AV2, with MIMO and beamforming technologies that use special signal techniques to greatly increase the available bandwidth over electrical circuits to 1300 Mbps. That's almost twice as fast as the previous HomePlug standard! (The router should be connected directly to a 3-pronged wall socket.)

Smart & Flexible Backhaul Configuration

ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid gives you three alternative backhaul options: powerline, Ethernet and WiFi. The router intelligently chooses the most reliable method for you, based on connection quality. If you prefer, you can also manually choose the type of backhaul connection.

With a total bandwidth of up to of 1800 Mbps, it's up to 1.4X faster (Compatible WiFi 6 device required.) than WiFi 5 routers (The data compares speed of 2X2 11ax on 5GHz 80 MHz bandwidth with 1024QAM modulation to speed of 2x2 11ac on 5GHz 80MHz with 256QAM modulation.).
